CVE-2026-47884 is a critical vulnerability affecting multiple versions of the Spring Framework. The flaw exists in the use of XsltView within Spring MVC applications. If an application has a wildcard '/**' mapping that results in view rendering and the view name is not explicitly specified, an attacker can exploit this to perform Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) and Remote Code Execution (RCE). The vulnerability spans a wide range of Spring Framework versions including 5.2.x through 7.0.x. Affected versions include Spring Framework 7.0.0-7.0.8, 6.2.0-6.2.19, 6.1.0-6.1.28, 6.0.0-6.0.30, 5.3.0-5.3.49, and 5.2.25.RELEASE and earlier. Organizations using Spring MVC with XsltView and wildcard mappings should prioritize patching or mitigation immediately given the potential for full system compromise.
